Accident of Karbala shows value of sacrifice: Former President and Chairman Press Club Rana Muhammad Arshad Anjum has said that the tragedy of Karbala and the Shahadat of Hazrat Imam Hussain (R.A) is a philosophy of life, which is an eternal candle for the people of the world. The sacrifice of Imam Hussain (R.A) is not limited only to Muslims, but the purpose of his sacrifice was the welfare of the entire mankind which he proved by sacrificing his life, family and companions. The sacrifice of Hazrat Imam Hussain (R.A) was beyond any religion, caste and geographical boundaries.
He has said that the great sacrifice of Karbala gives us a message that we should stand firm facing oppression and should not take the path of violence under any circumstances. The time has proved itself who was on the right and who was following the path of injustice. While observing the day of Aashoor, it is very important for us to understand the philosophy of Shahadat-i-Hussain. If the ruler is not the spokesperson of Islam, the caliphate will turn into a monarchy, inequality, injustice, lust, greed and materialism, when the social system starts to destroy life, then it is obligatory to correct such distortions as much as possible in an Islamic society.
Islam is a complete code of life. The Muhammadan religion is such a universal system of empire that is reflected in the era of our Caliphs before the Yazidi power. The philosophy of Shahdat-i-Hussain (R.A) is that sacrificing one’s life for the reform of the social system that should be considered a blessing, he added.
