Shahbaz, Nisar discuss political situation of country for third time in a week

F.P. Report

LAHORE: Chief Minister of Punjab and President of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Shahbaz Sharif held a meeting with the disgruntled party leader Chaudhry Nisar on Sunday and discuss various political issues for the third time in a week.

The private news channel reported that the stalwarts of PML-N discussed various party issues, including a strategy for the upcoming general elections and ways to strengthen the party.

Both the leaders also discussed the recent defection of PML-N lawmakers from south Punjab in the two hours long meeting.

The rift between Nisar and former prime minister Nawaz Sharif has been surfaced since July last year after the Nawaz’s disqualification.

Earlier on Saturday, Nisar, in a statement, said that it seems that the country’s biggest problem is whether he gets a party ticket for the upcoming elections or not.

Maryam was likely responding to reports that Nisar may be joining the PTI, PML-N’s arch nemesis.
