Six Pakistanis died in fire in Al Ain, UAE: FO

ISLAMABAD: Fire broke out in the home of a Pakistani family residing in Al Ain, United Arab Emirates (UAE) causing death of six Pakistanis, including four members of the same family while one Pakistani named Mohammad Raheem, aged 50, has sustained minor injuries.

The bodies of Pakistanis were brought at Islamabad International Airport on Monday around 10:55 am through Pakistan International Airline’s flight no. PK-234 which were received by the OPF officials.

OPF arranged six ambulances to shift the bodies from airport to their homes.

 The bodies of Muhammad Farooq S/o Muhammad Khan, who was also the father Muhammad Khurram and Muhammad Umer were sent to Kohat for their funerals while the bodies of Ali Haider S/o Lal Bahadar, Eid Nawaz Khan S/o Gharib nawaz Khan and Khiyal Afzal S/o Muhammad Afzal were also transferred to their hometowns including Peshawer, Hangu and Dara Adam Khel.

Embassy of Pakistan in Abu Dhabi has been in constant contact with the survivors and relatives of the deceased, both in the UAE and Pakistan.

Officials also visited the accident site to extend necessary facilitation including for issuance of death certificates and emergency travel documents.
