UNAMA disrespected Islamic rules in its human rights report

KABUL (Ariana News): The Islamic Emirate has rejected the recent report of the United Nations Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) on the human rights situation in the country and said it is “biased”. “Here, the laws of Sharia apply and the Sharia rights of every individual are ensured,” Hamdullah Fitrat, deputy spokesman of IEA, said on X.

UNAMA said in its quarterly report on the human rights situation in Afghanistan that it had recorded at least 60 cases of arbitrary arrest and detention of former government officials and former government forces.

According to the report, the Islamic Emirate has flogged 179 people, including 28 women, in public during this period.

“In one section of the recent UNAMA report, the implementation of Islamic Sharia is considered a violation of human rights, and such statements are a blatant disrespect for the sacred rules of Islamic Sharia and hurt the feelings of Muslims,” Fitrat said.

“UNAMA must respect the beliefs of the Muslim community of Afghanistan,” he said.
