Usage Bluetooth in MDCAT: High Court stop results till 21st

PESHAWAR: Peshawar High Court (PHC) has stopped issuance/uploading Medical Dental Colleges Admission Test (MDCAT) results till 21st September on official website while ordered Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Executive Director ETEA and Registrar Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) to submit reply, on Friday.
It is worthy, to mention that students and parent had filed applications at PHC’s Human Right Cell against Bluetooth cheating during MDCAT test. Human Rights Cell forwarded applications to Chief Justice PHC Justice Muhammad Ibrahim Khan, however, the CJ enlisted the pleas before Justice Syed Arshad Ali for hearing.
However, Justice Syed Arshad Ali heard the application at his chamber. The applications stated that Bluetooth devices had been used by more 200 students for cheating during MDCAT while argued that Chief Secretary it as rigging but to no veil. The petitions argued for stern actions against culprits involved in the malpractices in academia and requested that PHC order fresh, free and fair MDCAT test for transparency.
PHC’s Justice Syed Arshad Ali issued short orders stopping announcement/uploading MDCAT results on official website while ordering Chief Secretary, Executive Director ETEA and Registrar PMDC to submit reply till 21st September. PHC acquits alleged murderer: A divisional bench of Peshawar High Court (PHC) comprising of Justice Ishtiaq Ibrahim and Justice Sahibzada Asadullah has acquitted convicted culprit for lifetime imprisonment from murderer charges.
According to prosecution, Tariq has shot killed Bakht Salam over oral dispute in the premises Parmoli police station, Swabi district. Police has arrested Tariq Khan after registration First Information Report while he was trialed at Model Court Swabi and convicted for lifetime imprisonment.
The counsel Syed Mubashir Shah argued that allegations placed against Tariq Khan are baseless because the offense was occurred at night time as well as evidences are also self-contradictory. The counsel added that it is also objectionable that how the petitioner was identified in the offense happened at night and requested for acquittal of Tariq Khan from trial court decision.
