The US State Department spokesperson, Matthew Miller, sent a wave of shock and utter surprise across the globe by declaring that the United States disagreed with the idea of a ceasefire in Gaza and certainly not working on that agenda. When asked by The Frontier Post news hawk during his news briefing at the State Department about the US’s strategy on recent headcount at the United Nations on a resolution for a ceasefire in Gaza, the US Spokesperson blatantly replied that the US does not think it’s a good idea because Israel has the right, obligation and responsibility to defend itself. According to Matthew Miller, any country if it was attacked and knew that a terrorist organization was sitting across its border to launch new attacks would do the same as Israel is doing.
Realistically, the populace around the globe was skeptical and hoped that the Biden administration was worried about the deteriorating security situation in the Middle East and trying to cool down the hostility. Meanwhile, the world nations and global media were in discussion that the recurrent trip of the top officials of the Biden administration and shuttle diplomacy of the State Department in the Middle East was aimed at blanketing the Middle East conflict, through restoration of peace, provision of relief and release of Israeli hostages etc. Interestingly, the US high-ups themselves removed this delusion by confirming their non-participation in global efforts for a ceasefire and granting wide-ranging impunity to the Jewish state in the garb of self-defence and so-called terrorism.
Historically, the global community and the UN Security Council failed to reach a ceasefire between Hamas and Israel over the past three weeks only due to the opposition from the United States at the UN. If the Biden administration is still fueling the Middle East Conflict by providing limitless economic and military assistance to Tel Aviv and obstructing peace efforts at all levels, then what was the purpose of US shuttle diplomacy in the Middle East in the aftermath of October 7. Whether President Biden and Secretary Blinken visited the Middle East to backup Israel and fuel war. In fact, the Biden led Democrat administration has betrayed its millions of Muslim voters while American leaders also trashed the trust of the global community in this regard. The Palestinians are used to such inhuman atrocities and their struggle will continue until freedom, but the opportunist leaders will meet their fate in due course of time.
