KABUL (Pajhwok): The World Health Organisation (WHO) head in Afghanistan Dr Edwin Ceniza Salvador has pledged cooperation in expanding health services in the country.
He held out the promise at a meeting with Acting Minister of Public Health Maulvi Noor Jalal Jalali, the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) said in a statement.
A comprehensive system, expanding health services to remote areas, combating infectious diseases and how to framing an effective policy came up for discussion.
The new head of WHO emphasised on coordination with MoPH and promised cooperation in expanding health services in Afghanistan.
