LANDI KOTAL: The provincial government is full competent to beat the universal epidemic; coronavirus. Enough health staff has been deployed to tackle an emergency situation. With join efforts we can curtain the spread of COVID 19.

This was stated by the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Mehmood Khan while briefing media persons here in Levies Center,Shahkas Jamrud on his visit to Khyber district on Wednesday. CM said that weather it was the health staff or officials of the forces, administration, rescue 1122 and other departments, they were jointly striving hard to deal the post situation in the province after breaking out of the deadly cornavirus across the world.

“Your CM and full machinery of the government is stood beside you and there is no need to scare as with join compete the disease”, CM Mehmood Khan assured. He said that deputation order of 600 doctors had been approved while services of extra 1500 doctors had been acquired on contract basis to deal the emergency situation.

He added that the government was not ignorant of the situation being prevailed in the country and therefore as chief executive he beside his staff and ministers visited various districts and areas to personally supervise required health and precautionary measures. Like the federal government design, provincial government would also announce a package for the welfare of the masses following consent of the cabinet meeting that would be soon announced, he remarked.

Adviser to CM on information, Ajmal Wazir Informed that as per available report of Manga village of Mardan district out of 46 suspected, 39 cases had been detected coronavirus positive. He added that on the special directive of the CM Mehmood Khan, teams had been dispatched soon after the news cases unearthed and the whole locality was declared quarantine although daily usage needs of the effectees would be provided to them.

Pertaining positive cases identified in DI Khan,Ajmal Wazir said that they were those people who had returned from Iran and they had been quarantined. They urged the people to strictly follow all necessary measures, suggested by the health officials to halt spread of the fatal disease.

Earlier, flanked by Chief Sectary Dr Kazim Niaz, Deputy Commissioner, Khyber Mehmood Aslam Wazir, the CM, Mehmood Khan paid a brief visit to Headquarter Hopsital, Landi Kotal and inspected Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and quarantine center, established for the possible suspected persons of the COVID 19. Medical Superintendent, Dr Naik Dad briefed them and apprised him of the shortage of ventilators and ambulances in the centers that the CM ordered for early supply.

He expressed his satisfaction over the measures adopted for dealing of the coronavirus. It is to be mentioned here that the Chief Minister, Mehmood Khan arrived in Landi Kotal with full protocol and more than 20 vehicles constitute his convoy with numberless guards that negated precautionary steps, necessary for the curbing coronavirus. Meanwhile the local officials of Rescue 1122 carried out anti-germ spray here in Landi Kotal Bazaar and Headquarter Hospital on Wednesday morning.
