Kaira alleges Govt Intends to delay next election

LAHORE: The senior leader of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Qamar Zaman Kaira alleged that government itself intended to delay the next general election, however PPP will not allow anyone to delay the election.

Addressing press conference in Lahore, Kaira said that court has disclosed the reasons why was Nawaz Sharif ousted as it was not Iqama but z crime of hiding facts.

“The Sharif family can’t be skipped from clutches of accountability as after the Hudaibya Paper Mills they will be trapped in Modal Town tragedy, in which 14 Awami Tehreek workers were killed, case.

He lashed out Nawaz Sharif for not showing trust in state institutions and said he had not been trapped in such a grave position if Council of Common Interest (CCI) had been given its due value.

In his tirade on Imran Kahn, PPP leader said that if Imran’s demand met the holding of next election cin time ould be put in jeopardy.

Later, Qamar Zaman visited the ailing old party worker Hakim Muhammad Saeed at his residence and ensured his family PPP will fully cooperate in his treatment.
