Turkey to continue unconditional support to Pakistan: Turkish President

ANKARA: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erodgan has said that his country will continue to extend unconditional support to Pakistan.

Talking to Punjab Chief Minister, Shehbaz Sharif who called on him on Friday, Recep Tayyip Erodgan said lauded the efforts of the government of Pakistan for elimination of terrorism and steps taken for power generation in the country.

During the meeting matters of bilateral interest and cooperation in various sectors came under discussion.

The Turkish President said that his country was desirous for political, economic stability and strong defence in Pakistan. Recep Tayyip Erodgan said that development projects launched through Pak-Turkey mutual cooperation in Punjab were the symbol of the strong friendly relations between the two brotherly countries.

Speaking on the occasion, Punjab CM Shehbaz Sharif said that Pakistan feel proud over its friendship with Turkey. He was of the view that the development projects initiated in cooperation with Turkey have improved the living standard of the common man.

The Chief Minister said that enhanced cooperation between the two countries during the recent years has further strengthened the bilateral relations.

Shehbaz thanked the Turkish President for cooperation in waste water treatment, transport and solar energy sectors. Recep Tayyip Erodgan also inquired after the health of Begum Kulsoom Nawaz and prayed for his early recovery.
