1st ever mega event to be held in Khuzdar

KARACHI: Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) dedicated to promote growth of Engineering Education for which PEC Pakistan Development Committee Convener Engr. Mir Masood Rashid inviting at the 6th Engineering CAPSTONE EXPO BALOCHISTAN (FYDP- Final Year Design Projects Exhibition) and 2nd in Balochistan region. ENGR Muhammad Najeeb Haroon Chairman PEC (Ex-MNA) will be the chief guest.

1st ever Mega event at Khuzdar, this CAPSTONE will be held on Saturday 2nd March 2024 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Balochistan University of Engineering and Technology Khuzdar.

In this expo 4 universities are participating with 79 shortlisted projects for showcasing out of which 9 projects funded by PEC. In this CAPSTONE Engineering Universities will showcase their Engineering students’ projects that pertain to market/industry, where industries being invited to participate and select projects as per their business need.

CAPSTONE is the PEC initiative 1st time in Pakistan by PEC Pakistan Development Committee. Project selection criteria: All projects commercially viable and sustainable: 1) Leading Entrepreneur; 2) Industry/business relevant; 3) Social/Civic impact; and 4) Innovation. This opportunity being granted by PEC which is free and being organized to help our Engineers gain more market exposure as well as be able to network with world-class manufacturers of different varieties of engineering products.

Engineering students will know the need of the industry and how markets are working and seeking Engineering solutions to industrial problems. FYDP’s will be given media projection at industrial and governmental platform as per present needs of the country (preferably solutions to Industrial and societal problem), and for facilitating talent & growth opportunities of Young Engineers. Market compatible projects being sponsored by PEC.

Pakistan Engineering Council is a national apex regulatory body constituted through an enactment of the Parliament (PEC Act 1976) to regulate the engineering profession. The Council as per its Act has also special mandate to act as a “Think Tank to the Federal Government” to aid in all matters pertaining to engineering profession and policies required for the socio-economic development of the country.
