MINGORA: At least 74 suspected persons were arrested in a search and strike operation conducted by police in different parts of the district.
On the directives of District Police Officer (DPO) Wahid Mehmood, police conducted grand search and strike operation with the aim to eliminate criminal activities from the area. Police special commandos, Elite force, operation police troops, Ladies police, K-9 squad and bomb disposable unit participated in the operation.
During the crackdown at least 74 suspected persons were arrested and registered cases against them. Police also recovered two Kalashnikov, five guns, five pistols, 100 bullets, 15 kilograms hashish and 100 liters of liquors.
Police also checked the documents of the tenants and registered cases against seven illegal tenants of the area. Police official told that the operations against the criminals will be continue till the elimination of last criminal from the area and provide healthy environment to the inhabitants.
