9th anniversary of Fahim’s death remembered

KABUL (TOLOnews): The 18th day of Hout (March 9) is the 9th anniversary of the passing of Marshal Mohammad Qasim Fahim.
Qasim Fahim, after the Bonn meeting, and after helping to found the Afghan interim government, became the first deputy of the government and defense minister.
Mohammad Qasim Fahim was born in the year 1957 in Panjshir province.
“Let’s forget each other’s sin, and love each other,” said Marshal Qasim Fahim.
“Marshal Qasim Fahim was a mujahid and a commander in the jihad period and he had courage and good management,” said Sadiq Shinwari, a former military figure.
Fahim received his first schooling in his hometown and in 1349 (solar year) he joined the Arabic School in Kabul to continue his higher education.
Former Afghan President Hamid Karzai, on the occasion of the anniversary of the death of Fahim, offered his condolences.
Karzai said on Twitter “Marshal Fahim was a patriotic and peace-seeking person. He was a strong believer in peace and a firm friend in this way, whose efforts were appreciated and are unforgettable.”
Some Kabul residents have a variety of views about Qasim Fahim’s achievements.
Marshal Mohammad Qasim Fahim died at the age of 56 due to a heart attack on March 8, 2014.
