IGP directs FIA jawans to make best use of their acquired training

PESHAWAR: The Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Moazzam Jah Ansari has directed the FIA jawans to make best use of their acquired training and serve the nation to the best of their capabilities.

This he said, while addressing as a chief guest to the 6 months long basic training passed out trainees of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) at Shahkas Police Training Center Peshawar today. A total of 431 FIA officials passed out in the course including 387 male and 34 female. It is for the 1st time in history that such a large number of the FIA officials completed their basic training in one batch from the training center. Director FIA Peshawar Branch Mujahid Akbar, DIG training Syed Feroz Shah, CCPO Peshawar Muhammad Ijaz Khan, Director Training PTS Shakeel Khan and a large number of police officers attended the graceful ceremony.

The IGP directed the passed out FIA officials to make best use of the acquired professional training in the field and serve the people within the ambit of law. The IGP reminded the officials that their real test will start in the field where they will be posted in Immigration Unit, White color crime, Money Laundering, Cyber crime and Counter crime units which demanded from them to be alert and well aware of their sacred responsibilities.

The IGP pointed out that the integrity of the institution could be improved by acting upon the basic principles of the acquired training in its true essence and directed the passed out jawans to adopt a detective approach through well calculated plan and ensure combat of the crime in their jurisdiction.

The IGP revealed that the KP police believe on practical steps in the field adding that the KP police jawans are getting training regularly as well as imparting necessary required training to the officials of other law enforcing agencies.

The IGP informed that today’s passing out parade was a glaring example of it in which officials of the all four provinces are taking part. It may be recalled that FIA duty specific module has been prepared for the course. It is worth recalling that KP police did not abandon its training programme despite many challenges and kept continue its various training programme in all centers that was why all KP police training institutions have become great seats of learning.

Earlier, the IGP reviewed the parade accompanied by DIG training and awarded FIA officials who excelled in different categories of the training. In law Muhammad Umer Tayyab of Punjab declared 1st, Muhammad Muzzamil of Islamabad 2nd and Ihtesham-ul-Haq of Charsadda 3rd. In parade Muhammad Saleem of KP adjudged 1st and Muhammad Zubair of Punjab 2nd, Amjad Ali from Mardan declared best Firer of the training. In ladies categories in law Tehmina Sajjad from Jhang got 1st position, Saba Alam from Okara 2nd and Umme-Ammara from Okara 3rd position. In parade Gulalai from Malakand got 1st position, Umme-Ammara from Okara 2nd and Shazia Farooq from Lakki Marwat 3rd position.

Earlier, Director PTS Shahkeel khan while presenting welcome address highlighted the aims and objectives of the training. He also took Oath from the participants of their duty. The IGP presented shield to the director FIA.

The IGP also inaugurated various projects in the center by unveiling the plaque.
