KARACHI: Hard-hitting opening batsman of Karachi Kings, Sharjeel Khan is confident ahead of the remaining matches of the Pakistan Super League season six in Abu Dhabi.

The 31-year-old Sharjeel is the third-highest run-scorer (200) of season six. He has aimed to continue his attacking role for defending champions “The Karachi-leg gave me a lot of confidence as I was able to perform for my team and post the first century of PSL 6. My aim has always been to provide a flying start to the team and play my natural game. Having Babar Azam at the other end brings a lot of comfort and joy,” Sharjeel told pcb.com.pk.

Sharjeel admitted that the heat would play its part but Kings have full potential to defend the title “Being the defending champions and table toppers in the current edition, we head to Abu Dhabi with a great deal of confidence. However, Abu Dhabi conditions would not be that easy especially with the heat, my target would be to attack from the outset and make significant contributions for my team.
