Afghan officials’ resumes flow of trucks at Torkham

LANDI KOTAL: The Afghan officials conditionally permitted the export loaded trucks, lacking road pass to cross in Afghanistan after remained suspended the border for 24 hours here on Tuesday. According to the custom officials in Torkham hundreds of custom cleared loaded trucks, waiting at the border, started moving towards Afghan border.

The Pak border official in Torkham on condition of anonymity told that the Afghan border officials granted three months deadline to the all those truckers who lacked having road permit and asked them to get the document within three months.

Quoting the Afghan official, the Pak officials said that after expiring of the time limit, they would not allow the trailers to cross their border without road pass. The transport community lauded the temporary permission of the Afghan government and said before end of the three months they would avail road permit from the Afghan conciliate.
