ANP to participate in LG polls Punjab

PESHAWAR: Awami National Party provincial general secretary (Punjab Chapter) Ameer Bahadar Khan Hoti has said that ANP will take part in the coming Punjab province local body elections with full swing.
This he said while talking to journalists on Tuesday in Mardan Press Club on the occasion of his visit to congratulate its new office-bearers. He claimed that they had started necessary their pre-election preparations. ANP general secretary said that they were making consultations within the party to make polls-alliance with different political parties. He also claimed that they were expecting to get reasonable seats in the Punjab local government elections. Ameer Bahadar Khan alleged that the Punjab police’s behavior residents of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were not friendly one. Due to this misbehavior, hate was being increased among residents of KPK province, living in Punjab province by each passing day, he and warned and feared.
ANP general secretary also alleged and lamented that blockage of identity cards of Pakhtuns in Punjab province was also one of their big problems. He asked the relevant stakeholders to take up the issue seriously with practical steps; otherwise, it would create big problems in future
To a query about state bank amendment bill in Senate, he told that he was himself astonished over the absence of opposition leader Yousaf Raza Gilani on the important day of voting over the state bank amendment bill in the upper house.
