ARCS president appeals for continued Turkish support to Afghanistan

KABUL (Agencies): Mawlavi Muti-ul-Haq Khalis, the President of the Afghan Red Crescent Society (ARCS), met with Turkish Envoy Cihad Erginay in a farewell meeting. During the meeting, Khalis requested Erginay for his country’s continued cooperation with Afghanistan. The meeting was attended by several dignitaries, including Fazil Akin, head of TIKA, and Farid Ahmed Zia, President of the Turkish Red Crescent for Afghanistan, among other Turkish representatives. Khalis praised Erginay’s mission in Afghanistan as productive and full of achievements. Khalis expressed his gratitude to the Turkish Red Crescent and other Turkish charities for their vital assistance to vulnerable communities in Afghanistan. He urged Erginay to share the realities about the humanitarian needs of the Afghan people with the world. Turkish Ambassador Cihad Erginay reaffirmed Turkey’s close brotherly relations with Afghanistan and assured that his country would always cooperate with the Afghan people. He pledged that Turkey would continue to support programs aimed at establishing orphanages and creating employment opportunities for widowed women in Afghanistan.
