BAGHDAD (Agencies): Chairman of the Pakistan People’s Party and Foreign Minister, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, visited the shrine of Imam Musa Kazim. He offered prayers for the unity of the Muslim Ummah and the prosperity of the country at the holy shrine.
During his visit, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari also planted a sapling at the shrine of Imam Musa Kazim. Moreover, he attended the shrine of Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jilani, where the new gate of the mausoleum was specially opened for him. Bilawal Bhutto Zardari recited Fatiha at Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jilani’s mausoleum and laid flowers.
Prior to this, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari was warmly welcomed by Sheikh Khalid Abdul Qadir Al Mansoor Al Jilani, the Sajjada Nasheen of the Dargah of Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jilani. Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari was accompanied by Sheikh Khalid Abdul Qadir Al Mansoor Al Jilani to various parts of Mazar Sharif.
During his visit to Iraq, Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari held meetings with several prominent Iraqi officials. He met with Mohammad Rikan Al-Halbusi, the Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament, Hamam Hammoudi, the head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, Ammar Hakeem, the president of the Hikmat Party of Iraq, and Abdulamir al-Shamri, the Iraqi Minister of Interior.
During the meeting with the Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament, Muhammad Riqan Al-Halbusi, Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari discussed the relations between Pakistan and Iraq, as well as various bilateral issues. Bilawal Bhutto Zardari expressed his belief that cooperation between the two countries in the parliamentary sector will contribute to the strengthening of fraternal relations between Pakistan and Iraq.
He emphasized the importance of fostering high-level parliamentary relations between Pakistan and Iraq, highlighting the potential for both countries to benefit from sharing their respective experiences and expertise.
During the meeting with the President of Iraq’s Hikmat Party, Ammar Hakeem, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari engaged in discussions on various matters of mutual interest, with a particular focus on the political relations between Pakistan and Iraq. The leaders exchanged views and perspectives on strengthening the ties between the two countries in the political realm.
During the meeting with the head of the Iraqi Islamic Supreme Council, Hamam Hammoudi, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari underscored the significance of high-level political relations between Pakistan and Iraq for the benefit of both nations. The leaders also discussed the potential for increased cooperation in the field of health between Pakistan and Iraq. Bilawal Bhutto Zardari expressed that Pakistan and Iraq share a special bond as best friends, deeply connected by religion and traditions.
During the meeting between Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Iraqi Interior Minister Abdul Miral Al-Shamri, they discussed the facilitation of Iraqi visas for Pakistani pilgrims and the business community. Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Iraqi Interior Minister Abdul Miral Al-Shamri reached an agreement to enhance cooperation in order to strengthen public relations between the two nations.
