Canadian think tank denies Pakistan’s support to Sikhs, rejects India’s allegations

TORONTO: In response to India’s allegations, the Canadian think tank on Monday dismissed claims that Pakistan was providing financial support to Sikh organizations.

The head of the think tank, Terry Milosky, stated that Pakistan was not backing the organization “Sikhs for Justice,” and its leadership had not gone to Pakistan seeking financial assistance.

Mr Milosky went on to clarify that the group was collecting funds independently, and overseas Sikhs were generously supporting their cause against India.

The organization had successfully conducted referendums for Khalistan’s independence in various countries, including Canada, Europe, and Australia, which caused the Indian government to suffer.

India had accused Pakistan of financing Sikh organizations, including Sikhs for Justice. Still, the Canadian think tank’s statement categorically denied these allegations.
