ISLAMABAD: The election commission of Pakistan (ECP) has summoned a special meeting to review the allegations leveled by the Prime Minister Imran Khan during his address to the nation.
The meeting will be held today (Friday) and will be chaired by Chief Election Commissioner. The meeting will review PM Imran s statement regarding Election Commission.
According to sources, the Election Commission will issue a response to the statement of Prime Minister Imran Khan within the constitutional limits.
Prime Minister Imran Khan in his address to the nation on Thursday said that Election Commission has damaged the democracy by holding Senate election through secret ballot.
Prime Minister, while addressing the ECP, said secret ballot has damaged the democracy in the country. He said ECP could have employed latest technology in order to know who the turncoats in Senate elections were.
