Future of Ukraine war

Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is currently on a tri-nations trip of the Baltic states that aimed at shoring up support for Kiev’s war effort against its staunch adversary. President Zelenskyy started his trip from Lithuania, moving on to Latvia and Estonia, while motivating Ukraine’s western allies to shed off war fatigue and allocate more funds and resources to keep Ukraine’s warmachine functioning against Moscow that not only successfully neutralized Ukrainian counter offensive but secured significant successes against western alliance after gaining vital crucial support from Pyongyong.

The United States and allies apparently seem to be tired from the years-long conflict between the Russian Federation and Ukraine. The western nations, who have been fueling the Ukraine war through their mammoth economic and military assistance to Kiev for the almost past two years since February 24, 2022, is now gradually shedding their responsibility from the war expenses and the provision of arsenal to Ukrainian troops. Ukraine has been appealing in recent months to its Western allies for more economic and military assistance, to fullfil its war needs and provide kitchen heating to his people but those appeals have not worked well as the EU and the United States aid packages worth billions of dollars were stalled due to domestic legal constraints or shortage of funds. Recently, Italy’s Defense Minister has recently told Italian parliament that the Ukrainian counteroffensive had not produced the desired result, and the military situation had to be viewed with realism. According to him, it is time for incisive diplomacy, alongside military support for Ukraine.

In fact, war is not a solution to any political or territorial dispute while the Ukraine war was the product of the ongoing competition between major powers to attain global supremacy which ruined Ukraine and turned the East European nation into rubles. Presently, Moscow has expressed its readiness for peace talks if Ukraine takes account of new realities, suggesting an acknowledgement of Russian controls over 17.5 percent of Ukrainian territories in Eastern Ukraine. While Ukraine’s stance appears less uncompromising and no common ground exists between the two challengers so far. Presently, Ukrainian President is wholy dependent on western allies.
