MUMBAI: Reports of Irrfan Khan starring in the sequel of Hindi Medium have been doing rounds for the longest time. Finally, giving us an update on the same is actor-filmmaker Tigmanshu Dhulia who said in a recent statement that Irrfan will soon begin shooting for the project.
Talking about the same, Dhulia said, “I did meet him after he returned to India. He is perfectly fine now. Irrfan told me that he will begin shooting for Hindi Medium franchise soon.”
About collaborating with Irrfan, he added, “We will do a film soon. Actually, we were in the process of writing one for him. Probably, if everything goes well, we shall be making the film soon.” It’s been speculated that Kareena Kapoor Khan may pair opposite him though nothing has been confirmed as yet.
Irrfan and Dhulia have earlier worked together on films like Paan Singh Tomar and Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster Returns. Other than this, Irrfan was last seen in Karwaan, which also starred Mithila Palkar and Dulquer Salmaan. Irrfan also featured in Hollywood film Puzzle opposite Kelly Macdonald.
