Kalank movie set worth Rs 10 crores established in Mumbai

MUMBAI: Dharma Productions is back with a monumental project. Kalank stars Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Aditya Roy Kapur, Madhuri Dixit-Nene and Sanjay Dutt.

Directed by Abhishek Varman, the film set in 1945 revolves around the emotions of love and loss. The teaser was released a couple of days back and since then the buzz around the film has doubled.

The impressive teaser has captivated millions of hearts and people can’t wait to catch the film on the big screen on April 17, 2019. But, the latest news around the film is that a set worth Rs 10 crore was built in Mumbai for the shooting of the film. A palace was built in Mumbai’s Filmcity, which is depicted to be in the middle of Old Delhi. It was even seen in the teaser of the film. Kalank was shot across places like Hyderabad, Madhya Pradesh, Indore, Mumbai and more. The cast and crew has put in their blood and sweat and we just can’t wait for the epic to unfold on the big screen.

Talking about the money spent to create the set, a source told a leading daily, “The Mumbai schedule, which went on for a month, was shot on the set. Karan who had conceptualised the film 15 years ago with his father, Yash Johar, didn’t want to compromise on any aspect.” Well, we hope April 17 comes soon.
