Khawaja Haris ‘quits’ Imran’s legal team in Toshakhana case

F.P. Report

ISLAMABAD: Advocate Khawaja Haris on Thursday dissociated himself from the legal team of former prime minister and PTI Chairman Imran Khan in the Toshakhana case.

Sources told 24News that Haris decided to part ways since he had reservations over the lack of discipline in the team.

Haris even returned all files of the case to the legal team, they disclosed.

Consequently, they added, the lawyer would not be representing the PTI chairman in the Islamabad High Court (IHC) as well as in the Supreme Court (SC) during the hearing of his petitions in the Toshakhana reference.

The sources informed that Latif Khosa and other lawyer would represent the former prime minister in the case instead.

The sources in the PTI legal team further divulged that efforts are being made to woo back Khawaja Haris.

Meanwhile, another PTI lawyer Barrister Gohar Ali claimed that Khawaja has not dissociated himself from the Toshakhana legal team. “We will continue to benefit from Khawaja’s Sahib’s expertise,” he added.

He further said Khawaja Haris will not appear in Islamabad High Court and Supreme Court today (Thursday).
