F.P. Report

LAHORE: In an important development in investigation into incidents of violence of May 9, an anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Lahore on Thursday allowed the police to arrest and question former prime minister and PTI Chairman Imran Khan in connection with six more May 9-related cases.

The cases were related to attack on the Askari Tower and setting Shadman police station and PML-N’s Model Town office on fire.

Thousands of people had come out on streets to vent their anger at the arrest of their leader Imran Khan by Rangers personnel in Islamabad on May 9.

They went berserk, ransacked military and government buildings and in some instances even torched them.

And they did not stop there as they also allegedly damaged memorials of martyrs of Pakistan Army.
