Kundi accuses PTI of plotting another May 9 disaster

F.P. Report

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Central Information Secretary Faisal Karim Kundi has accused Pakistani Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) of plotting another May 9 disaster in the country.

Addressing a news conference in Islamabad on Saturday, Kundi blasted the PTI, alleging the party is again indulging in “politics of mischief and violence”.

Responding to a question, he said the PTI’s KP chief minister would come to Islamabad on his will but would return only when the Centre desires.

Kundi said his party was having no issue with the purported talks between the PTI) and the military leadership. He asserted: “The PTI has five franchises. Each one of them has its own narrative. Those people who have been brought back to the country by the PTI are indulging in terrorism.”

Kundi said: “Talks will be possible if the PTI admits mistakes and apologises over May 9 mayhem.”

Speaking about the possibility of joining the cabinet, Kundi said: “It is up to the PPP’s Central Executive Committee to decide whether to join the cabinet or not. The PPP is neither in a hurry nor wants to join the cabinet.”
