Actress Lori Loughlin was arrested and charged in connection with the College Admissions fraud scandal where nearly 50 families have been caught by the FBI cheating the system.
Loughlin was given a $1 million bond, which she paid the necessary percentage to go home after her Wednesday court appearance.
Her daughters Olivia Jade, 19, and Isabella Rose, 20, benefitted from their mom’s actions of paying over $500,000 to enrolled them into the University of Southern California and now have decided to quit the school.
The girls think they would be “bullied” when they returned to campus and wanted to avoid that atmosphere.
The girls made the decision two days after it was revealed Loughlin and her husband Mossimo Giannulli paid a $500,000 bribe to get them both in the school.
Olivia Jade had been enjoying spring break on a yacht owned by Rick Caruso, chairman of USC’s Board of Trustees, when news of her mom’s indictment broke.
But now the former Youtube star, who was dropped by Sephora on Thursday, ‘is a mess and despondent’, one source said.
They said the teen is ‘feeling like it’s the end of the world’.
Sources said Olivia and Isabella plan to ‘lay low’ and that Loughlin and Giannulli are in full support of their decision to withdraw.
The girls claim they wanted to leave because they might be bullied, but there were reports the university’s admin was going to expel them.
They’ve probably consulted with their publicist around the clock and were advised to go into victim mode immediately. They will now plot, plan and spend whatever to move on from this unscathed. Don’t be surprised if they pull it off.
All of them will get a slap on the wrist, mark my words. Other people, regular people are in jail for welfare fraud trying to feed their kids and for sneaking into the movies. These entitled people will pay a fine and move on; it’s called celebrity justice!
While this scandal is abhorrent I don’t see much of a difference between this and affirmative action in schools. Either way, kids are taking the place of more deserving kids because of skin color or financial status. Both stink in my opinion.
