Major rally held in Kabul in support for Palestine

KABUL (TOLOnews): A major gathering was held in capital Kabul on Friday in support of the people of Palestine and to condemn the Israeli attack on Gaza.

The participants of the rally called for an “immediate” halt to Israel’s attack on Gaza and criticized the “silence of the Islamic countries” regarding the issue of Palestine.

“The cruelty which is going on in [Palestine] on the defenseless people is unacceptable and we condemn this action in the strongest terms,” said Mohammad Mohsin, a participant.

“All of the Muslims have a role in one body,” said Mohammad Yousuf, a participant.
The participants read a resolution in which they stressed supporting the Palestinians, providing humanitarian assistance to them and practical action by the Islamic countries to alleviate the situation in Gaza.

“The people of Afghanistan are condemning the blockage of water, food, power and health facilities for the people of Palestine by Israel,” said Mohammad Edris, a participant. The rally was attended by the children as well.

“They have ignited a fire in Gaza. They have hurt the people in Gaza. Where are human rights, we should lend a hand together to rescue Gaza,” said Mohammad Shayan, a protester.

“Whatever is going on in Gaza, is a crime. There is no water and the bombardments are continuing on the common people in Palestine. We consider this an international crime,” said Sabrullah, a protestor.

It has been over 67 days since the war in Gaza. According to the reports, over 18,000 Palestinians have been killed and more than 50,000 others wounded since the
