Minister urges for promoting indigenous values in students

ISLAMABAD: Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb has stressed the need for promoting tolerance and inculcating our indigenous values in the students.

Addressing a ceremony organized by a private school here Saturday she said it is our responsibility to make our children productive and useful citizens of the country and this process begins at home with the grooming parents impart to children.

The Minister of State said our students are competing at international level and there is a need to educate our children about our indigenous cultural and moral values.

She said private schools are playing an important role in imparting quality education in line with modern standards. The minister of state said under the Prime Minister’s Education Reform Scheme reform process was started in schools of federal capital to bridge the gap between public and private sector education. Later talking to newsmen Marriyum Aurangzeb said opponents of PML-N is trying to weaken it but they will not succeed in their aspirations. She said people believe that PML-N is the only party that delivers on its promises.

Furthermore Minister of State for Information Marriyum Aurangzeb alleged that political rivals Imran Khan and Asif Zardari are engaged in horse trading in the upcoming polls for the Senate chairmanship.

Speaking to media here she said, “Who are those unknown people who dissolve the government in Balochistan.”  First, Balochistan’s government is dissolved and then Imran Khan is spotted standing to the right of the new chief minister of the province and Asif Ali Zardari is seen standing on the left, she added.

She alleged that the two leaders are engaged in horse trading through the independent senators in Balochistan.

“Your tweets and lies are an attempt to take away the attention from questions raised on your party’s performance in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,” she remarked.

Commenting on the proceedings of the National Accountability Bureau’s (NAB) corruption references against the former premier Nawaz Sharif’s family, she stated that the cross-examination of Wajid Zia, an important NAB witness, will be the conclusion of the cases. Zia was the head of the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) that probed the Panama Papers case.
