MoPW may send attachés abroad

KABUL (Tolo News): The Ministry of Public Works (MoPW) said it is planning to establish work attachés abroad to help provide job opportunities for Afghan citizens. The MoPW said it has been talking with UAE, Sri Lanka, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar over sending Afghan laborers to these countries.

After the fall of the former government, many Afghan youth sought to leave Afghanistan as the country is struggling with a deteriorated economy. “I had a designing company. The number of our clients dropped. They also want to leave the country,” said Osman Khail, a resident of Kabul province.

“I was an electronic engineer in an institute. But our work ended several years ago, and I became jobless,” said Hameed, a resident of Kabul. This comes as the MoPW said it is seeking ways to provide work for the citizens. “We want to make contacts with four countries: Qatar, Saudi Arabia, UAE, and Sri Lanka.
