NAB case against Nawaz: Zia summoned on 21st

ISLAMABAD: The Accountability Court on Wednesday has summoned the main witness against Sharif family’s in Al-Azizia Steel Mill and Flagship case head of Panama JIT Wajid Zia on March 21.

According to details three more witnesses have recorded their statements as the AC judge Bashir Juma resumed the hearing in Al-Azizia and Flagship case.

NAB witness and branch manager of Standard Charted Bank Wapda town Noreen Shehzadi’s statement was recorded, however commenting over the documents submitted by the witness judge termed the documents confused, unclear and not readable.

On which witness told the court that they have only scanned documents not original as she has prepared the work sheet of Hussain account.

“There is need a special optical to read such fade document, a better and readable copy should be submitted,” judge said in his remarks.

During the hearing the Hussain Nawaz’s record of US dollar account and Euro account from May 21, 2010 to April 19, 2017 has been submitted in the court.

Later another witness assistant director NAB waqar Ahmed and expert financial affairs Sher Ahmed statement was recorded while the counsel of Nawaz Sharif has also cross examined the both witnessed.

Sher submitted the copies of details of Habib Bank and Standard Charted accounts of Hussain and told the court that he has the original record. Sharif lawyer, Haris raising the objection over the prosecutor witness, Sher Khan, said that finance expert could not be presented as witness, on which deputy prosecutor general NAB rem-inded that Robert Radely was also the finance expert and his statement was recorded.

Judge said in his remarks that if finance expert only helped the investigative officer it would be lot more better, on which Sher Khan said that he has been provided the details of bank account as a finance expert. The hearing was adjourned till March 21.
