New Delhi’s war hysteria and Pakistan’s response

Pakistan Foreign Office has observed that the latest revelations made by the BJP leader and former Governor of the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), have once again vindicated Pakistan’s stance on the Pulwama Attack of February 2019. According to Foreign Office Spokesperson, the recent disclosures of Satya Pal Malik demonstrate how the Indian leadership has habitually used the bogey of terrorism from Pakistan to advance its sham victimhood narrative and the Hindutva agenda aims at domestic political gains. The Pakistani Spokesman expressed hope that the international community would take cognizance of the latest revelations and see through India’s propaganda campaign based on lies and deceit against Pakistan driven by selfish political considerations of the Indian government. Pakistan called on the international community to hold India accountable for the actions that imperiled regional peace in the aftermath of the Pulwama attack in early 2019.

The peace and the pace of development and growth in the broader South Asian region have been mainly mired by the decades-long disputes between India and Pakistan. At the same time, the ruling political elite in New Delhi often incited Islamophobia and anti-Pakistan sentiments in Indian masses to increase their public rating and to grab electoral gains. It is not a hidden secret that the politics of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) had always flourished on the Hindutva extremist ideology and Hindu nationalism aimed at violence and the prosecution of Indian religious minorities for solely political motives. Historically, the ruling BJP and its Patron Inchief Narendra Modi had well-established Hindu Nationalist credentials, while the ruling BJP and then Chief Minister Gujrat played a pivotal role in the ethnic cleansing of Muslims during the 2001 anti-Muslim riots in Gujrat. Later, the fanatic BJP leader drove the world to the brink of nuclear war with his myopic philosophy of surgical strike after the implementation of the self-hatched conspiracy of the Pulwama attack. Meanwhile, the scrapping of Article 370 and Section 35 of the Indian constitution regarding Kashmir was another manifestation of Modi’s fanatism and fascism that exposed India’s hypocrisy and violation of the UN resolutions regarding the Kashmir dispute to the rest of the world.

The recent revelations of a former governor of the Indian-held territory have re-validated Pakistan’s claim that the Indian Intelligence agencies hatched the plot of the Pulwama attack to support the Modi government election campaign ahead of the parliamentary election in India. Indian leaders are well-versed in the tact to divert peoples’ attention/ criticism of their poor governance and public issues into Indian animosity toward Pakistan through escalation of tension on the Pakistan-India border. Historically, Indian leaders had persistently used hate speech and Islamophobia to flourish their politics in an environment of Hindu fanatism and zealotry in Hindu majority India. It has been a recurrent and time-tested attitude of Indian rulers over the past decades, while the people of the region particularly Pakistan have paid a heavy price for the reckless behavior and war-mongering of Indian rulers. Although, Pakistan has always stood fast against India’s false narrative and acted firmly and responsibly in the face of New Delhi’s unilateral provocations and belligerence throughout history, yet the country has suffered a tremendous political, economic, and monetary loss due to India’s malicious propaganda and military escalations on its borders in the past. It is high time that Islamabad must raise this issue at global forums including the United Nations and its executive arm of the UN Secuirty Council which owes the sacred responsibility for the maintenance of worldwide peace and stability. Islamabad must take New Delhi to the International Court of Justice (ICJ) for recurrently escalating tension, disrupting the pace of regional development, and endangering global peace just for domestic political reasons. Otherwise, Indian warmongers will spare no effort and would not hesitate to endanger regional peace and stability for the accomplishment of their nefarious objectives at any time in the future.
