MAKKAH: The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques has launched the “Hayyakom” — meaning “Welcome” — initiative at the library of the Grand Mosque in Makkah.

The initiative aims to welcome visitors and pilgrims while also promoting cultural and educational enrichment.

It serves as a platform to acquaint visitors with Islamic heritage and the cultural history of the Kingdom. It also aims to foster a sense of spirituality and cultural consciousness among pilgrims and visitors.

The initiative is part of the directives of Sheikh Abdulrahman Al-Sudais, the president of the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques.

Meanwhile, a group of pilgrims from China visited the Two Holy Mosques Exhibition and were briefed about features in the Grand Mosque.

Assistant Undersecretary for Field Advisory Affairs Dr. Ibrahim bin Abdul Majeed Al-Barakati said that the visit formed part of the program carried out under the slogan “From Arrival to Departure” that the presidency had prepared for this year’s Hajj season.

Al-Barakati also highlighted the great efforts and pioneering role of the leadership in serving the mosques and their visitors.
