Nora Fatehi files defamation suit against Jacquelin Fernandez over money-laundering allegations

MUMBAI: Renowned Bollywood actress Nora Fatehi on Sunday filed a defamation suit against co-actress Jacquelin Fernandes after the latter accused her of laundering INR 200million.

Fatehi said Fernandez had tried to defame her as criminal so she might ruin her career.

Fatehi came into limelight while the law enforcement agencies were investigating Sukesh Chandrashekhar over the allegations of duping people for jobs. Indian media claims Sukesh had duped over 100 people to the tune of INR 750million.

As for his relation with actresses Fatehi, the accused said in before the court that he had gifted Fatehi a luxurious car in 2020.

The Indian media reports that intimate pictures of actress Fernandez with Sukesh surfaced on social media after he had been arrested by the LEAs. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) – a law enforcement agency of the Government of India that is responsible for enforcing economic laws and fighting economic rime – have summoned Jacqueline and Fatehi multiple times till day.
