ISLAMABAD: Caretaker Information Minister Murtaza Solangi has termed the notification of Finance Division regarding banning of five thousand rupee currency note as fake. In a tweet on Thursday, he said the notification, circulating on social media, is untrue and the government shall act against the people spreading this kind of fake news to create chaos.
Meanwhile, the Federal Ministry of Finance Dr Shamshad Akhtar has also denied any ban of Rs5,000 currency notes, saying a notification a notification circulating in this regard is fake. (NNI)
