Opposition’s no-confidence movement: No one be allowed to leave country without recovery of looted money: Fawad

PESHAWAR: Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Chaudhry Fawad Hussain while in reference with no-confidence movement against PTI government said opposition parties have staged a drama of bringing no-confidence motion to pave way for escaping for members of Sharif families.
However, the minister made it clear that the government will not allow anyone to run away abroad without recovery of the looted money.
Chuadhry Fawad said political dwarfs are sitting in opposition parties which don’t have any research and thinking within the parties. He said people were doing politics for their own interests, warning that if anyone will leave Prime Minister Imran Khan, their political status will become zero.
You should see that those who is going, they will get nothing, but there will be long queue of coming people, the minister said while responding different questions of reporters here during a condolence reference organized by Khyber Union of Journalists (KhUj) to remember services of senior journalists Rahimullah Yousfzai (late) and Dr Hafiz Sanaullah (late) held at Peshawar Press Club on Wednesday.
Regarding the rising debts, the Minister said since the inception of Pakistan, a total loan of the country stood at Rs6trillion till 2006, through which capital city Islamabad was built up, buying of Gwadar, strengthening armed force, building structure of Pakistan and motorways.
When Zardari and his company had come in power after 2006, and after that Nawaz Sharif that they had escalated Pakistan debts at Rs23trillion, he informed them.
The minister said it is an unfortunate fact that the present government obtained loans to return the previous huge debts. He said Ishaq Dar and company had controlled the value of Pakistani rupee through an artificial mechanism that had generated de-industrialization and increased unemployment in the country.
He fully credited the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for giving the chance to Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf to form its government in the province and lead the political change in the country that had eliminated the two party system from Pakistan forever.
Chaudhry Fawad said Prime Minister Imran Khan has put Pakistan on a path of sustainable progress and tried to establish a social welfare state on the pattern of Riyasat e Madina. He claimed the PTI led government laid the foundation of Riyasat e Madina and brought revolution in the health sector by launching Insaf Health Card Programme that enabled every citizen to carry out treatment up to Rs1million.
Similarly, the minister said ration card programme will soon launch in the country, saying that government will pay additional 30 per cent on various items.
Recounting the achievements of the present government, Chaudhry Fawad said during the last three years, a record crop production had been recorded in the country. He said the government initiatives have enhanced the income of people. He said the incumbent government had transferred Rs1100billion to the agriculture sector.
Talking about press and media freedom, the minister said Pakistan has been included in few countries of the world wherein media is fully independent and free. However, he noted many people were spreading fake news on the basis of personal likes and dislikes.
He paid rich tribute to journalist’s community, security forces, police and people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and erstwhile Federally Administered Tribal Areas who gave their lives in line of duties and made the country a cradle of peace. He noticed the terrorism and insurgency had created host of challenges and issues for working journalists.
The minister also eulogized the services of late senior journalists Rahimullah Yousafzai and Dr Hafiz Sanaullah on the occasion and said he had old and close relations with Rahimullah Yousafzai, saying that his [Rahimullah] had vast experience and knowledge about Afghanistan affairs.
Chaudhry Fawad said the most important thing in journalism is integrity, so he asked journalists’ that their report on its basis which you have seen by your own eyes, he added.
The minister noticed that excluding working journalists under present structure from editorial policy is the major hurdle in the way of free press and media. He asked the media owners to review their editorial policy. He stressed the joint working and collaboration between government, regulatory bodies and journalists association, unions and press clubs for freedom of press.
Regarding the issues of working journalists, the minister assured to resolve all problems on priority basis. On the occasion, he announced Rs1million interest free loan for working journalists.
Earlier, speaking at the condolence reference, KhUJ president Nasir Hussain, senior journalist Ismail Khan and others paid rich tribute to journalists’ services of late Rahimullah Yousafzai and Dr Hafiz Sanaullah.
