Over 40 Baloch militant commanders lay down arms

QUETTA: More than 40 Baloch militant commanders belonging to banned outfits laid down arms on Wednesday in Balochistan before the arm forces.

According to State Radio report, a ceremony was held in Quetta where “Farari commanders” were brought into the national mainstream.

During the ceremony, Balochistan Home Minister Mir Ziaullah Lango distributed prizes among these commanders.

The Farari commanders were affiliated with Balochistan Liberation Army, Balochistan Republican Army, and other proscribed organizations.

Besides others, the Farari commanders also included Izzat Khan, Nauroz Khan, Naseer Ahmad, Zahoor Ahmad, and Javed.

Civil and military officers were also present on the occasion.
