PHC provides extension in BBA to Safdar

PESHAWAR: The two-member bench of Peshawar High Court (PHC) comprising of Justice Lal Jan Khattak and Justice Ijaz Anwar granted extension in bail before arrest to Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) leader Muhammad Safdar till 9 February, on Wednesday.

The honorable court directed PML-N leader Captain retired Muhammad Safdar to appear before investigation officer of National Accountability Bureau (NAB).

Former Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Iqbal Zafar Jhagra accompanied Captain (retd) Safdar in the court.

PML-N leader Muhammad Safdar claimed that NAB is targeting the party workers for supporting narrative Nawaz Sharif.

PML-N leader Muhammad Safdar claimed that he had registered First Information Report (FIR) in Lahore on 2 August 2020 against Chairman Nab and an application against the chairman had also been filed at Hayatabad police station, Peshawar in this regard.

Muhammad Safdar also blamed Chairman NAB for life threats to him and his family. He claimed that if any loss or damages faced by him or his family then chairman NAB will be responsible.

Muhammad Safdar also blamed Chairman Javeed Iqbal for attacking his vehicle in Lahore when he and his wife were appearing before NAB in last August. He claimed that the chairman NAB is controversial personality and made the institution as controversial in the country.

Captain (retd) Muhammad Safdar urged General (retd) Asim Bajwa to provide money trial if he is innocent. While answering a question he said that PML-N will stand with every move of Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), whatever the consequences may be.
