Police raid houses of former KP minister and MPA

MARAN: Police raided the house of former Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister and provincial President of Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Atif Khan and former MPA Zahir Shah Toro but vain to arrest they were out of their houses.
Earlier, police raided the Mardan and Islamabad residences of the former provincial minister Atif Khan but he wasn’t present at their places. The police arrested the employees of their pharmaceutical factory and the factory was sealed also.
In another raid of police, the police also raided the house of former MPA Zahir Shah Toro in Mardan, but apparently he was not present at the house. The sources said that cases of violence has been registered on 9 May against Atif Khan and Zahir Shah Toro. Sources confirmed that the police haven’t been able to arrest any former member of the provincial assembly from Mardan so far.
Police arrests 33 alleged culprits recovered cash, stolen items: Mardan Region Police has arrested 33 accused in 15 different cases of theft, burglary and robbery during the last 20 days and recovered more than 25 lakhs in cash, 27 mobile phones, 11 motorcycles and other items.
The new Regional Police Officer of Mardan Muhammad Suleiman has issued orders to deal with criminals with an iron hand across the region, according to the details, fifteen cases of theft, robbery and embezzlement were registered in different districts of the region, including 6 in Charssada in Mardan 5, Swabi 3 While a case was registered in Nowshera, the DPOs of the respective districts under the leadership of RPO Muhammad Suleiman along with their teams traced all the cases and arrested 33 accused.
According to police sources, 25 lakh 14 thousand cash, 27 mobile phones, 11 motorcycles, one motor car, two solar panels and other items were recovered from the alleged accused. Instructions have been issued to the police across the region to deal strictly with anti-social elements and treat decent citizens with dignity and respect.
