Quality food serves to the quarantined persons in Khyber

LANDI KOTAL: Healthy and quality food was served to the persons quarantined in various centers of district Khyber. According to the district administration separate kitchens had been set up in Landi Kotal, Jamrud and Bara to provide food to the COIVD 19 suspected, mostly of the Pakistani citizen came back across the Torkham border and quarantined in Landi Kotal.

In routine menu eggs or cream or halwa beside bread and tea were provided to them. Similarly in launch and dinner rice, chickens, fruit and mineral water were given to them. Last day Deputy Commissioner, Khyber Mehmood Aslam Wazir on his visit to a kitchen, established in veterinary hospital in Landi Kotal said that three time meals including breakfast, launch and dinner were supplied to the quarantined persons.

He added that as precautionary measure the food was provided in disposable packing to avoid spreading of coronavirus disease. “No compromise will be made on quality of the foodstuff, provided to the quarantined ones,” DC added and saying the officials had been directed to have close check on food, supplied to them.

As per contractor of the foodstuff to the quarantine centers, a meeting would be conducted with district administration on the eve of the holy month of Ramadan to get approval of menu for it. Inayatullah,an Afghanistan returned Pakistani national and presently quarantined at Shahkas Levies center,Jamrud expressed his satisfaction over the food, delivered to them and said three times good food were provided to them, however he flayed slow process of conducting of lab test formalities in the center that added their miseries. It is worth mentioning here that approximately 550 persons have been quarantined in various centers in Landi Kotal.
