JAMRUD: A police inspector was martyred in a suicide blast that occurred in the mosque in the area of Jamrud in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Tuesday.
According to reports, the suicide bomber blasted himself when he was stopped by the police officers to enter the Ali Masjid of Jamrud in the Khyber area.
Resultantly, an Additional Station House Officer (SHO) of the police embraced Shahadat while some other people were injured.
According to police sources, there is a fear of more casualties in the blast. The building of the Ali Mosque is also damaged.
The bomb disposal unit has been reached there while the dead body of the martyred Additional SHO has been shifted to the hospital.
It is worth mentioning here that two days ago, there was an incident of terrorism in the Bara area of the KP.
The police sources said that the policemen stopped the suicider for a search who blasted himself.
