DUBAI: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has declared Shubman Gill, the young Indian star, the ICC player of the month.
A couple of days ago, the ICC had announced the September men and women players of the month. None of the Pakistani players got position in the ICC list. However, two Indian cricketers – Shubman Gill and Muhammad Siraj – clinched positions.
Now, Indian batter Shubman Gill has been declared player of the month due to his performance in September. Chamari Athapaththu, the Sri Lankan women cricketer, got woman player of the month award.
