Sharjeel pays tributes to laborers

KARACHI : Senior Minister of Sindh and Provincial Minister for Information, Excise, Taxation, Narcotics Control, Transport, and Mass Transit, Sharjeel Inam Memon, has said that he wholeheartedly pays tribute to the laborers who are working tirelessly day and night to advance national development. Pakistan People’s Party is steadfast in its determination for the rights of laborers as per the vision of Shaheed Bibi.

In his message on Labor Day, Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon has stated that the People’s Party has taken several steps for ensuring fair wages for laborers and job security.

He highlighted that the Sindh government has set a minimum wage of 32,000 rupees under the reform program for laborers and initiated labor law reforms.

He emphasized that under the Workers Welfare Board, the Sindh government has arranged health and death grants for laborers, along with providing dowries for their daughters. Additionally, he attributed the establishment of labor colonies, aimed at providing housing for laborers, to the Sindh government of the People’s Party.

Sharjeel Inam Memon highlighted that the abolition of child labor and bonded labor, as well as legislation for women laborers and special persons, stand as achievements of the People’s Party.

Furthermore, he underscored that the Government of Sindh initiated the registration of domestic workers to ensure they receive equal rights comparable to industrial laborers.

He emphasized that the Government of Sindh firmly believes in upholding the principles of social justice and equality. He further stated that Labor Day not only highlights the sacrifices of workers but also underscores the importance of their rights and welfare. He reiterated the commitment to creating an environment where every worker has the right to live in dignity.
