SNGPL cuts off 126 connections

LAHORE: During the ongoing crackdown against gas pilferers, SNGPL continued raids in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Islamabad, disconnecting another 126 connections while imposing fine of Rs.13.34 million and 171 under billing cases processed

In Lahore, the regional team disconnected five connections on illegal use of gas, another eight connections on the use of compressor, Rs.11.08M have been booked against gas theft and 1Fir lodged against gas thief.

In Bahawalpur, the regional team disconnected three connections on use of compressor while another 1 against on illegal use of gas. The company disconnected 18 connections on illegal use of gas while another nine on the use of compressor and 13 under billing cases have been processed in Multan.

In Peshawar, the company disconnected 22 connections on account of direct use of gas and illegal connections, the regional team also booked Rs 0.70 against gas theft.
The team also lodged 1 FIRs against gas thieves. SNGPL’s team in Mardan 20 under billing cases have been processed while imposing fine of Rs 0.16million against under billing cases.

The regional team in Sargodha 49 under billing have been processed and 0.03 million Rupees booked against under billing.

In Gujranwala, 02 meters were disconnected on the use of compressor while another one on illegal use of gas and 43 under billing cases processed. The region also imposed fine of Rs.0.50 Million Rupees against under billing cases.

The company disconnected 51 connections on illegal use of gas and 33 under billing cases have been processed while imposing a fine of Rs 0.82 against Under billing cases in Rawalpindi.

In Sahiwal, five connections were disconnected on illegal use of gas.

The regional team in Faisalabad disconnected 01 connection on illegal use of gas and 13 under billing cases have been processed and amount of Rs 0.05 million have been booked against pilferers.
