ISLAMABAD: Some foreign Powers want to destabilize Pakistan through fueling terrorism in the country while a vast terror network has been uncovered by KP Police during recent days. It was shared by the Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed during a news conference in Islamabad on Monday.

While commenting on the recent terror attack during Friday prayer in Peshawar, Sheikh Rashid Ahmed said that country’s LEAs are at alert and a comprehensive strategy has been implemented by the government to protect people and national assets from any coward attempt by the miscreants.

Sheikh announced three local holidays in Rawalpindi and Islamabad from 22nd to 24th March in connection with the upcoming OIC Ministerial Conference to be held in Islamabad.

While responding to a media query regarding the political situation in the country, Interior Minister said that PDM’s no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan will face defeat and the government will complete its term.

Sheikh challenged the opposition to manage the required 172 votes in the National Assembly if it can, however, he was of the view that PDM could not stage its long March because the no-confidence motion will likely be finalized during next month.
According to Sheikh Rashid, the countries had not been destroyed by the earthquakes or floods, but the anarchy and instability ever led the nations to collapse.

Sheikh advised the opposition to demonstrate responsibility and maturity in its conduct.

While answering another question, Interior Minister claimed that Prime Minister Imran Khan has set the foreign policy of the country on a sovereign basis, and categorically told the colonial powers that Pakistan will not permit drone attacks from its soil.

According to him, despite the soaring prices of gasoline in the global market, the government has extended a massive relief package to the public by reducing the prices of oil, diesel, and electricity while considering the economic situation in the country.

While answering a query regarding the government response to PPP’s long march, Interior Minister said that the government will not create any hurdle in the route of the long march by the Pakistan Peoples Party, and full security will be provided to the participants of the march.
