Steps underway to boost industrial sector of KP

PESHAWAR: Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Haji Ghulam Ali Tuesday said that federal and provincial government was making incessant efforts to strengthen industrial sector of KP and to promote business and trade activities.
He was talking to a delegation of Industrialist Association Peshawar at Governor House. The delegation was led by Ayub Khan Zakori and included former President Sarhad Chamber, Riaz Arshad, Ahsan Malik, Junaid Altaf, Faisal Safi and Wasiullhah. The delegation informed governor about the concerns of industrialists relating to labor department, export difficulties of pharmaceutical companies and gas and electricity charges. They also urged governor to take steps for establishing a police post in Hayatabad Industrial Estate and said that it PC I has been completed but practical work has not started due to unavailability of funds.
Governor said that resolution of problems confronted by industrial sector is among priorities of government and all the needed steps would be taken to facilitate stakeholders for augmentation of country’s economy.
He said export problems relating to export of pharmaceutical companies of Peshawar to Afghanistan would be discussed with Afghan Consul General and Regional Office of Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He also highlighted contribution of industrial sector to support economy of country and assured delegation all the needed assistance and cooperation.
Governor condoles demise of father of journalist: Khyber Pakthunkhwa Governor Haji Ghulam Ali here Tuesday condoled demise of the father of journalist, Sajjad Haider of SAMAA TV. The Governor also attended funeral prayer of the deceased at Kohati and prayed for eternal of the departed soul. He expressed confidence with the journalist over his father death and offered Fateha.
