Strengthening Defense: Sweden and France Unite for Anti-Tank Capabilities

MILAN: Sweden and France are bolstering their defense collaboration with a focus on anti-tank capabilities. In a recent strategic agreement, signed by the CEOs of Saab and MBDA, the two nations aim to enhance their armed forces’ effectiveness on the battlefield.

The partnership will initially center on supplying the Akeron MP, a French anti-tank guided missile system, to both Swedish and French armed forces. This joint effort also includes plans for developing advanced variants of the missile, equipped with beyond-line-of-sight firing capabilities.

This collaboration signifies a crucial step forward in strengthening European defense capabilities and ensuring readiness in high-intensity conflicts. With Saab and MBDA at the forefront, the partnership aims to deliver the best tools for safeguarding national interests and regional security.
