Tik Toker kills father, injures mother

LOWER DIR: A young Tik Toker identified as Hasnain 18 shot dead his father and injured mother on their refusal to return his smart phone at Gambhir village in the jurisdiction of Mayar police station here on Saturday, relatives and police said.

They said the accused’s father Sher Baz Khan, a cab driver had held his mobile phone set for the last two days and wanted his son to give up filming his tik tok videos while the son had been demanding its return.

The son, after a brief exchange of harsh words, opened fire on his parents. As a result the father died on the spot while the mother was shifted to the district headquarter hospital Timergara in a critical condition. The Mayar police led by SHO Fazal Ghafoor raided different locations and arrested the accused within two hours. The police also claimed to have recovered the pistol used during the crime. The deceased was laid to rest at his ancestral graveyard at Gambhir in the presence of a large number of locals.

Meanwhile, a seven-year old child identified as Ayan Khan, a resident of Sar Dargai who went missing on Feb 22, was found dead at a local hill in the jurisdiction of Lal Qila police station here the other day.
