Turkey’s LPG imports down 18.35 pct in January 2019

ANKARA (AA): Turkey’s liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) imports decreased 18.35 percent to 241.6 thousand tonnes in January 2019 compared to the same month of the previous year, according to the latest data revealed by the country’s energy watchdog on Wednesday.

The Energy Market Regulatory Authority’s (EMRA) data showed that imports to Turkey came from Algeria, Kazakhstan, the US, Norway, Russia and the UK

Turkey’s LPG production increased in January to approximately 82 thousand tonnes – a year-on-year increase of almost 18.35 percent.

Exports fell nearly 45.88 percent to 15.9 thousand tonnes in January compared to January 2018.

Total LPG sales was approximately at 306 thousand tonnes — a 3.01 percent decrease — in January, including 242 thousand tonnes of autogas, 55.9 thousand tonnes of bottled LPG, and 7.52 thousand tonnes of bulk LPG.
